Clostridium butyricum is an obligate anaerobic bacterium. It produces butyric acid, acetic acid, lactic acid, and amylase, which has strong resistance to the external environment. Clostridium butyricum is only sensitive to neomycin, vancomycin and tetracycline antibiotics, which has strong resistance to many other antibiotics.
